What does a wedding DJ and MC do?

My job goes beyond playing music. I help coordinate the flow of your reception, make announcements, introduce important moments, work with your other vendors, and keep the celebration moving while you enjoy your wedding.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular wedding dates can fill quickly, so contacting me as early as possible is a good idea. Send me your date, location, and wedding details and I'll let you know about availability.

Can we choose our own music?

Absolutely. Your music should reflect you as a couple. We can discuss the songs, artists, genres, special dances, must-play songs, and songs you would prefer not to hear.

Can we provide a Do Not Play list?

Absolutely. If there are songs, artists, or styles you don't want played at your wedding, let me know. Your preferences are an important part of planning your reception.

Do you take requests from our guests?

Guest requests can be part of a great reception. I can work with your preferences and use my judgment to keep requests appropriate for the celebration and consistent with the music you've selected.

Do you provide microphones?

Yes. Wireless microphone options are available for ceremonies, speeches, announcements, and other important parts of your wedding day.

Do you provide lighting?

Reception lighting options can include elegant uplighting and dance-floor lighting designed to complement the atmosphere of your celebration.

Do you work with our other wedding vendors?

Yes. Good communication between your DJ, venue, photographer, planner, caterer, and other vendors can make a big difference. I work with the team to help the reception stay organized and on schedule.

Do we have a planning meeting before the wedding?

Yes. Planning ahead gives us the opportunity to talk through your reception schedule, music preferences, special dances, announcements, introductions, and the details that matter most to you.
